Cooking Instructions
 

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt.
  2. Add warm water and oil, then knead until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Cover and let the dough rest for 20 minutes.
  4. Mix mashed potatoes with cheese, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Roll the dough thin and cut into 3-inch circles.
  6. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle.
  7. Fold the dough over and pinch the edges tightly to seal.
  8. Bring a large pot of salted water to a gentle boil and cook the dumplings for 3-4 minutes after they float.
  9. Meanwhile, cook the sliced onions in butter over medium heat until deeply golden and caramelized. Sprinkle with paprika.
  10. Drain the dumplings, top with caramelized onions and fresh parsley, and serve warm.
