  • 4 cups romaine lettuce chopped
  • 2 tomatoes diced
  • 1 cucumber diced
  • 4 radishes thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper diced
  • 1/2 red onion thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh mint chopped
  • 2 pita breads cut into pieces and toasted
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon sumac
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Arrange pita pieces on a baking sheet and toast for 8-10 minutes until crisp and golden.
  3. In a large salad bowl, combine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, radishes, bell pepper, onion, parsley, and mint.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, sumac, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Pour the dressing over the vegetables.
  6. Toss gently until evenly coated.
  7. Add the toasted pita pieces just before serving.
  8. Toss lightly once more.
  9. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  10. Serve immediately while the pita remains crisp.
