Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 medium onion thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 small head green cabbage thinly sliced
  • ½ tsp ground turmeric
  • ½ tsp ground coriander
  • ¼-½ tsp chili powder optional
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro chopped (optional)

Cooking Instructions
 

  1. Heat oil in a wide pan over medium heat.
  2. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
  3. Add onion and cook for 4-5 minutes until soft.
  4. Add garlic and ginger; cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add cabbage, turmeric, coriander, chili powder, and salt.
  6. Toss well, cover, and cook on low heat for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  8. Garnish with cilantro if using and serve warm.
