Ingredients
  

  • 1 oz dried laminaria kelp, soaked and sliced
  • or 2 cups prepared laminaria rinsed
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • tbsp rice vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 tsp soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tsp sugar or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger finely grated
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Cooking Instructions
 

  1. If using dried laminaria, soak in cold water for 10-15 minutes until tender. Rinse and slice thinly.
  2. Bring a small pot of water to a boil. Blanch laminaria for 1-2 minutes, then drain and cool.
  3. In a bowl, whisk sesame oil, vinegar or lemon juice, soy sauce, sugar, and ginger.
  4. Add laminaria and toss gently to coat.
  5. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  6. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
