  • ½ cup cooked chickpeas or black beans mashed
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs or oat flour
  • ¼ cup onion finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley or cilantro
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • For Serving Optional
  • Burger buns
  • Lettuce tomato, onion
  • Sauce of choice hummus, yogurt sauce, or vegan mayo

Cooking Instructions
 

  1. Add quinoa, mashed beans, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, olive oil, herbs, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper to a bowl.
  2. Mix well until the mixture holds together.
  3. Shape into 4 patties.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat with a little oil.
  5. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and firm.
  6. Serve warm on buns with desired toppings.
