Homemade Pizza
Homemade vegetarian pizza with easy dough and simple tomato sauce. A classic, comforting Let’s Veg recipe perfect for pizza night.

- Prepare the Dough
- In a mixer bowl, combine flour, yeast, and sugar.
- Add olive oil, warm water, and salt.
- Knead for 7 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Transfer dough to a lightly floured bowl, turning to coat lightly with flour.
- Cover tightly with plastic wrap and place in a warm area.
- Let rise for 30 minutes.
- Make the Tomato Sauce
- Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add diced tomatoes and garlic; cook for a few minutes.
- Stir in sugar, salt, oregano, basil, and tomato paste.
- Cook for 1 additional minute, then remove from heat and let cool.
- Shape the Dough
- Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface.
- Knead briefly 3-5 times until smooth.
- Divide into 1 large or 2 medium dough balls.
- Shape using hands or a rolling pin.
- Assemble & Bake
- Top dough with tomato sauce, mozzarella, and desired toppings.
Pizza Oven:
- Bake at high heat for 3-5 minutes, until crust and cheese are golden.
Regular Oven:
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) (pizza stone recommended).
- Bake for 15 minutes, until crust and cheese are golden.
