Ingredients
  

  • 1 package puff pastry sheets thawed
  • 2 cups potatoes peeled, boiled, and mashed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • Sesame seeds optional

Cooking Instructions
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add onion and sauté for 4-5 minutes until soft.
  4. Stir onion into mashed potatoes and season with salt and black pepper. Let cool slightly.
  5. Cut puff pastry into squares.
  6. Spoon potato filling onto each square and fold into triangles or rectangles.
  7. Seal edges with a fork.
  8. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.
  9. Bake for 22-25 minutes, until puffed and golden.
  10. Serve warm or at room temperature.
