- Place potatoes in a pot of salted water and bring to a boil.
- Cook for 20 minutes until potatoes are very tender. Drain well.
- Meanwhile, melt 1 tablespoon butter in a pan over medium heat.
- Add cabbage and cook for 5-7 minutes until soft.
- Mash potatoes with remaining butter and milk until smooth.
- Fold cooked cabbage into the mashed potatoes.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve warm.
