Cooking Instructions
 

  1. Peel plantains and cut into 1-inch slices.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Fry plantain slices for 3 4 minutes per side until lightly golden.
  4. Remove and drain briefly on paper towels.
  5. Flatten each slice using a tostonera, glass, or plate.
  6. Return flattened plantains to hot oil and fry again for 2 3 minutes per side until crisp and golden.
  7. Remove, drain, and season with salt while hot.
  8. Serve immediately.
