- Heat grill or grill pan to medium-high.
- Season the Asparagus
- Toss asparagus with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
- Place asparagus perpendicular to grill grates.
- Grill 6–8 minutes, turning occasionally, until tender with light char marks.
- Remove from grill.
- Finish with lemon juice, cheese, or balsamic glaze if desired.
- Serve immediately.

No grill: use a hot skillet or broiler
