- Stir in grated or puréed beets until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix just until combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool completely before slicing or frosting.
